Refunds for airline tickets are subject to the fare rules and conditions set by the issuing airline. AeroVista acts as an intermediary agency and does not determine airline refund policies. We process refund requests on your behalf and advocate with airlines to secure the maximum eligible refund.
Refund eligibility depends on:
- The type of fare purchased (refundable vs. non-refundable)
- The time elapsed since booking
- Whether the cancellation is passenger-initiated or airline-initiated
- Applicable airline fare rules and conditions of carriage
- The reason for cancellation
2. Refundable Tickets
If you purchased a fully refundable fare:
- You are entitled to a full refund to your original payment method, subject to the airline's applicable cancellation fees.
- Refunds are processed within 7–21 business days, depending on the airline and your card issuer's processing time.
- AeroVista's service fee for processing the original booking is non-refundable.
3. Non-Refundable Tickets
Most discounted economy and basic fares are classified as non-refundable by airlines. For non-refundable tickets:
- The base fare is generally not eligible for a cash refund.
- Government-imposed taxes and certain fees may be refundable even on non-refundable tickets. We will identify and process any eligible tax refunds on your behalf.
- Some airlines offer travel credits or vouchers in lieu of cash refunds — we will advise you of any such options.
- AeroVista will clearly disclose whether a fare is refundable or non-refundable before finalizing your booking.
4. The 24-Hour Cancellation Rule
Under the US Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, airlines operating to or from the United States are required to allow passengers to cancel a reservation within 24 hours of booking without penalty, provided the flight is booked at least 7 days before departure.
- If you cancel within 24 hours of booking, you are entitled to a full refund of the ticket price.

5. Airline-Initiated Cancellations
If your flight is cancelled by the airline:
- You are entitled to a full refund of the ticket price, including taxes and fees, regardless of fare type.
- Alternatively, the airline may offer rebooking on the next available flight at no additional cost.
- AeroVista will assist you in pursuing a full refund or rebooking option from the airline.

6. Significant Schedule Changes
If the airline makes a significant schedule change (typically defined as a departure time change of 3 hours or more), you may be entitled to a full refund or free rebooking. AeroVista will assist you in evaluating and exercising your options under the applicable airline policy.
7. Refund Process
To request a refund:

- Step 2: Our agent will review your booking, confirm your eligibility under the airline's fare rules, and inform you of any applicable fees or deductions.

- Step 4: Once approved by the airline, the refund is credited to your original payment method. Processing typically takes 7–21 business days.
8. AeroVista Service Fee Refund Policy
- AeroVista's service fees are non-refundable once a booking has been processed and confirmed, except in the event of an error on our part.
- Service fees for cancellation processing, change requests, and upgrade assistance are non-refundable once the service has been rendered.
- If a refund is issued due to an error made by AeroVista, our full service fee will be refunded to you.
9. Refund Timelines by Airline
Typical refund processing timelines vary by airline. While most airlines process refunds within 7 business days of approval, the time for the credit to appear on your statement depends on your card issuer (typically 3–10 additional business days). AeroVista will provide you with the airline's estimated refund timeline at the time of your request.
